Edgar Wright has a new movie. It has a trailer.
Also may as well use this thread to discuss
Spaced
Shaun Of The Dead
Hot Fuzz
The World's End
Scott Pilgrim
Ok Go.

Looks great.
I love all his films except world's end which was so so.

I think Shaun took a while to grow on me as I - like a lot of people - was expecting Spaced the movie with it's Evil Dead camera angles and pop culture references and snappy dialogue.
But it was its own thing.
I loved Hot Fuzz immediately and Worlds End too actually. Gun to my head i think Hot Fuzz is the best one but I do love them all.
Scott Pilgrim was great but suffered from a bit of a flat third act in Gideon's club.
Everything up til then is great though.

Looks really good!

I loved the trailer!

So far i've pretty much loved everything Edgar has directed and was curious to see his Ant-Man.
I enjoyed the film anyway but I bet his vision would have kicked it up a notch.

Dude is a fantastic director.
Wasn't big on Scott Pilgrim, but I think I just didn't like the source material or story very much, the directing was great though.

One of my favourite things in Scott Pilgrim was when Scott yells " We're playing tonight at the Ro..." and before he can finish saying the word it hard cuts to a sign saying " The Rockit ".
So you hear the start of it and SEE the rest of it. Amazing

Spaced is in my Top 3 comedy shows of all time.
Shaun of the Dead was a great film, as was Hot Fuzz (Timmy Dalton steals the film).
At World's End was a letdown, actually quite a big letdown.
Scott Pilgrim was utter shit.

Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim are amazing. World's End was good, but didn't quite reach the level of Shaun or Fuzz for me. While I enjoyed the ride that was the movie, I felt like a lot of the fun came from just seeing Simon Pegg and Nick Frost together again, but the movie itself had less great original jokes than Shaun or Fuzz.
Pretty stoked for whatever Edgar does, though personally I'd wanna see him do more with Pegg/Frost. :lol
