Alright, fair assessment. Agent Fresco is easy to like and dislike, so I can see why you would rate it like this. Looking at the other bands sent I have an idea of the direction of music to go with next. In fact, I have chosen my song for next round already and I will send it soon.
With the scoring method I'm pretty happy with how I'm rating things. I like the tenth of a decimal point and to me it's accurate.

Lonestar - Destrage - Where the Things Have No Colour
Sorry RJ, this song was decent enough, just didn't match most of the other songs. It still deserves a mid 7 score but a song that didn't really get my interest. Wasn't a fan of the vocals at all really, but the melodies were pretty good still, and kept the score up due to the catchiness. It didn't wow me but the best part was the wonderful guitar solo. Great moments here and it almost makes me want to check the band cause the chops they have here are excellent. If it wasn't for that solo the score would be a lot lower. A decent and cool enough song, again just doesn't match the others.
I've seen the name float around here once or twice so it's not a surprise that this band showed up early on. The intro set things up nicely and I could tell I was in for some nice cheesy heavy metal. The main riff gets me going quite a bit and then vocals are right up my alley. This is like some Dream Evil or Hammerfall but with a harder edge which I like. The chorus is cheesy as hell but one that got stuck in my head and actually kept popping up throughout the day.

This is the reason I love this roulette so much already. I can get away with sending cheesy stuff here. Most of the people tend to cut my points like in half for the cheese, but here I can finally pay absolutely no attention to cheesiness. Some people think the cheese is a bad thing... I'd say it's awesome when executed properly.

Ihsahn doesn't do clean vocals on this song, that's Einar Solberg from Leprous. I've been into this epic black metal with the big climaxes kinda stuff as of lately, more than you apparently :lol but it's fine, I don't think we're a perfect match anyways, but I may be able to redeem myself in future rounds.

BTW about the Ihsahn album, it's not really that black metal-ish, the new one has a lot of hard rock type songs and it also features Trivium singer Matt Heafy which I figured you might be into. Man I suck at choosing my guest vocalists, first the Soilwork singer I'm leaving out and now Trivium.. I should look into these picks a bit more before sending :lol luckily this time I didn't send anything with guest vocalists.

But when it comes to sweet chick voices, it's pretty hit and miss with me. Amanda Sommerville is probably an exception. I guess I'm trying to say that female fronted stuff isn't really what I might be looking for here.

More specifically, once I had the text in it I would duplicate the layer and apply a blur filter to the new layer. Then used the eraser to put holes in the blurred layer, uncovering the plain text underneath.
Ruslan went to more effort than I did and his were arguably better, but this was a lot simpler so that's how I did it.
Several of those quotes could be mine. Good and bad.

That Ghost Ship Octavius album definitely comes with my highest recommendations as well, if that means anything to you. In Dreams isn't the song that I'd send from it - I'd probably go with Pendulum - but it's at worst solid from start to finish, so you can't really go wrong either way.

I mean, it's totally the host's decision and the easiest way to avoid it is to send unique stuff, but, well, I still think it's unfair because when the host in US opens the round up in the evening, I'm boarding the train to work at 6 A.M. and not in the best position to send anything; and for European hosts, it's the other way around.

Just keep in mind with the bottom 4, it's quite possible that both participants in the one matchup could get eliminated, the head to head is just for fun, and as I said before, the bonus point still might not save you if the loser from another matchup still sends something better.

Their best track is 33 minutes long epic, so I discarded them. The whole album is pretty great though, Chad got me into them and he also provided the link where I was able to get the physical CD for like $4 not counting shipping.

For the two that make the final, I will be continuing along the same paths. The score that you end up on after this round will carry over. If you're first and half a whole point lead, than that's your advantage.
This round I'll be rating the songs the same way and taking an average of the two songs to get your round 9 score. It may be more brief as some the criteria will obviously carry over being the same artist and such, but whatever.
The final EP round will again have the songs rated individually and then an average of the whole thing. That final score will go onto your existing score resulting in the winner. No bonus points in the EP final round either.
I found the Dimension Act really surprising. I thought it would just be your run of the mill prog metal, but it had character and substance, and as I said, the songwriting is great, good stuff.

How is this round being scored? If it's just the average of the songs, then its pretty impossible to make up the deficit and I'm going to send songs I like more that probably won't do as well because the way scoring is here, 1 point is pretty insurmountable. Even double points makes it really freaking hard to swing even a tie. Triple points would guarantee not a tie, and fuck even winning a round by 0.4 is tough if we are both consistently in that 9.0 range.
If I have any chance of winning, I'll play to win; but otherwise I'll play to push your envelop, musically.

I didn't send any but had guessed Haken, Powerwolf and Anubis Gate. I was no doubt the source of the Tad Morose chat , but didn't think of them. Pretty sure I have sent you some stuff from them at one point but the production often lets them down a bit and so I wasn't too confident for the roulette. Even so I still love tracks like Take On The World.
