Speaking of bands who surprisingly don't have their own thread, but probably need one (like the Diable Swing Orchestra).
They just opened for Flying Colors for their brief tour of the US, and will be doing the same with Big Elf and Jolly soon as well.
They just posted a new video of sorts for their song "Best of You," which is shown with a lot of slow-motion video shot in NYC.

I know there are some fans around here. I suppose a question or 2 to ask being, what are your favorite albums and how do you compare them? Favorite tracks, etc.
Here's my (fanboy) assessment of their recordings
Their most recent records, Small Fame (2012) and Animals (2014) you can hear a lot of classic rock influence. But even my power-pop loving girlfriend enjoys some of their music, I think namely due to their pop sensibilities at times. Dan Moxon is a fan of stuff like Elton John, Billy Joel and Hall & Oates at the same time as being a Rush or Deep Purple fan.
I would personally rank their catalog as such:
1. Stories of Brothers, Tales of Lovers (2008)
2. Through the Broken City (2005)
3. Animals (2014)
4. Small Fame (2012)
5. Bend Sinister [EP] (2007)
6. Spring Romance [EP] (2010)
Even though these are ranked, I enjoy pretty much all of these pretty closely.

their new EP "The Other Way" is awesome!.
Maybe their best EP actually. Great energy, catchy as hell, and pristine production!
"Move A Little Slower" is a banger. Keyboard led, it builds slowly but gets so uplifting by the end.
"Walk the Other Way" is catchy as hell!
"Get Along" has this incredibly guitar solo.
"Run" is ballsy as hell and filled with energy

Oh cool!
Any idea if a new album is on the way at some point? The last EP was ok but not as good as the last few albums.
-
Yeah. That was great.

yeah, it very likely will be coming this year per they've been posting clips for months on Instagram, and now are going out on tour.
I would guess whatever the plan is, it'll be announced on the 14th when the single is up.

Loved this song. That mid section is the sugar daddy likes. When Bend Sinister gets in this pocket they can create breathtaking moments; see: Best of You, My lady, Hot blooded man, and their first 2 albums.

Very late to this party. I was very disappointed with the EP they released in 2020, but it seems that they've gone back to something much more akin to what they were doing before which is great. These guys can achieve a great combination of super interesting yet catchy music when they put themselves to it.
-
hmm, actually really dig "Why Can't We Be Happy?"..that track "I'm Tired" is awesome the way it builds.
But I do agree, the new tunes are all qute catchy and accessible, much like some of their previous stuff.
