Basically, I just use a load of profanity and complain about movies:

-
In your case, then, never has this been more accurate:

-
I haven't even read it yet, but I already like it
-
It didn't take working in a movie theater (NOT a cinema) for very long to ruin them for you. :lol
-
I like how, for Limitless, you called the guy Douche2 and never mentioned him again. :lol
-
:lol
Posted a new blog :neverusethis:
-
best review blog ever???? yes
-
-
I love it already
-
I should probably stop writing blogs and go to bed. I keep noticing typos all over the place :lol

I started reading it without paying much attention to who started the thread, I noticed some british words and saw that it was you, I then finished reading it in Sean Connery's voice.

Ricky Gervais, here.

Pros:
I threw some sweets at a girl in the cinema who wouldn't shut up and she didn't know it was me
:lol

Trying that now.
EDIT: Ricky works fine, but Patrick Stewart in a very calm almost provocative voice is better.

That's brilliant. :rollin

That actually happened.
"WHO THE FUCK THREW THAT?!"

Every time I try that, I always lapse into a tired and cranky Morgan Freeman.

Every pro is going to include "i didn't pay for it"

The first thing that came to mind was this: "Everybody loves a cinematic adventure. You never ask someone if they want to go see a movie and they say, 'Fuck that and fuck you.'" - Dane Cook
Will you also be doing old movies?
-
Best blog yet. Looking forward to more entries!
-
Meh, not personally a fan of fillling a blog with profanity; mildly amusing at first but it'll get old quickly.
-
Will you also be doing old movies?
I will be! I will probably be doing more new films than old though. That's just because I work in a cinema and get to see free films when ever I want though.

Shut the fuck up.

Im loving this blog :lol

Following :lol

Since I don't have a huge amount of material right now, I'm going to use my day off on Wednesday to see all the bad films that are showing at the cinema.
-
I love the title. Regardless of anything else, that is my new favourite title. I have decided, based on the title, that I will subscribe to it even if it turns out to be complete horseshit.
That is how to sell a blog in four words.
-
"Pros: I had my phone so I could play Robot Unicorn Attack every now and again"
:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

This, not for me personally, but good luck with it. :tup

What kind of British person are you?!

Tell us what you really think, Rich :lol
-
it'll get old quickly.
We'll make sure it won't.
-
Rich is going to get old quickly.
Anyway, I'm going to the cinema to watch a bunch of films on Wednesday so I'm going to make sure I see a bad one.
I'm going to try and watch a film that I own before then but I'm not promising anything (SO MUCH WORK RIGHT NOW!).

A lengthy Transformers 2 review would be nice.
-
I still haven't seen that film so I'll try and watch it some time this week! Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm going to start taking notes while I'm watching the films so I can remember everything that made them suck after the film has finished.
-
I love this! :lol
-
At the cinema I work at, no one has to deal with the "OMG the credit music is louder than a jet."
Why? Because at the start of the credits... the automation triggers the surround processor to turn down the volume. :P
-
I need to update mine. I'm still proud of the few articles I've written, though.

Posted a review of the new Pirates of the Caribbean film. It's a big longer than the other reviews:
https://ifuckinghatemovies.blogspot.com/
-
What a boring review. I've read better blogs on livejournal.
overratedpoopstain/10
Just kidding. I really don't wanna see this next week. I'm gonna have to convince my friends that it sucks.
-
In regards to Pirates:
1) I went in ready for the movie to suck massively and found it much better than I'd expected.
2) I didn't see it in 3D. We got the movie both in 3D and in 35mm film for the people who don't like 3D or don't want to pay the extra $$. Though I'm not that surprised the 3D worked a bit better in this than Thor, considering the latter was shot in 2D an converted later, although it was definitely converted better than some (like Clash of the Titans).
3) I got paid to watch it, since our policy is a projectionist has to screen each 35mm print we get to watch for defects and such.

Might I recommend that when they come to pick you up, you greet them at the door shrieking unintelligably, holding onto your wiener for dear life and urinating on yourself? No one wants to see movies with that guy.
-
please do the twilight films?
-
That was funny but now I am pissed because
1. I am off to see Pirates tonight....in 2D at least, and it was a gold class gift voucher so you might say I am not paying for it either.
2. Insidious was created by the original 'Australian' creators of Saw, so I thought it would be good.....I may have to go and see it anyway
3. Limitless was nothing earth shattering but it was okay..and the bonus it had Bradley Cooper in it!
-
I got free tickets to the Pirates film. Agree with you on all accounts. Though the mermaid with the black hair was definitely a pro, she was pretty dang beautiful.
-
Insidious has one of the worst third acts ever put on film. That and splice. I've never seen two movies that were going so well only to be demolished by their third acts.
-
The last act of Insidious was dire.
Edit: Also, lol35mm. All our films are digital (apart the ones that are made by directors who refuse to go digital).
-
I think the blog will be better for new releases only. My opinion.

That's more likely "apart from the shows that play in the houses we have that haven't been converted yet" because someone who shoots in film would still have the movie released in digital. And even then most of the movies shot in film are edited digitally.
But the sad thing is that films today actually come out looking worse than several years ago because of this digital intermediate crap, since they shoot a movie in film, then degrade it down to a 2K intermediate, then make the release prints from that.
Also, if digital is a huge improvement in your area... all that means is that the theaters around you suck and they hired shit "projectionists."
-
Wow :lol
Edit: James, I'm going to review a couple of older films as well. Can't always see new films because of how much I'm working right now.
-
Don't get me wrong, in most cases digital is an improvement since few theaters really have been making sure to have "film done right."
-
Well, I was just responded like that because it seemed like you were getting quite annoyed about it.
I'm not trying to start some sort of cinema war with you or anything :lol
-
Perhaps I was responding to the lol 35mm bit? ;)
Although I know my place is going all-digital. Thankfully, I'll be done with grad school by the time my job will be done with.
-
I noticed that but try not to take everyone so seriously around here :P

New review:
https://ifuckinghatemovies.blogspot.com/2011/05/transformers-2-revenge-of-boring.html
Don't know why it missed out the "the" in the hyperlink but okay.
Spent a bit longer writing this one because I had A LOT more to complain about.

Awesome as always. You highlighted what I hate about these movies very well. :tup
-
This was the best one yet. I'm going to show it to this kid and he is going to finally break down and realize that the Transformers are not the fucking best movies ever. I mean, goddamn.
-

To be fair, the first one is one of the best movies ever. And by first, I mean the 1984 version.

How was the Terminator giving his heart to John Connor cheesy? It was beyond predictable, but not cheesy.
